​Elder Bruce Nelson Seawood is the founding visionary and chief executive officer for Spring Into Praise™ Choir Festival. He initially launched the Spring Into Praise (SIP) Choir Festival in 2004 in Austin, Texas and it is still blessing hearts today in July 2025. Seawood is a renowned musician and song writer in Adventist Music Ministry.
He served as the Minister of Music for the Atlanta Berean SDA Church for seven years (2009 - 2015) and is still active at the Berean Church now serving as the Associate Minister of Music and an SDA ordained Elder. He is also a principal musician at the St. Philip AME Church in Decatur, Ga.

He has held numerous positions as Musician, Choir Director and Minister of Music. He has directed mass choirs which include choirs at the Texas Youth Congress, South Central Conference SDA Campmeeting at Oakwood College, and the Lake Region Conference SDA Campmeeting. He is also the former Music Director for the United Christian Artist Association (UCAA) under the leadership of Mrs. Paula Morris and also served organist for renowned evangelist, Dr. Oscar Lane, who baptized
some 570 souls in Philadelphia, Pa. He is driven for music ministry and coined the term “musical missionary” referring to his personal musical journey.His music has also been taught at the Youth Division of the National Conference of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA). As a dynamic and accomplished choral director, musician, songwriter and arranger, he has contributed to the following albums/CDs:

Elder Seawood served as the Executive Producer for the renown Compact Disk and DVD recording, "Under His Wings", recorded at the historic ML King, Jr. Chapel on the campus of Morehouse College featuring 325 Adventist singers, songwriters and musicians. This recording mass choir was composed of singers from Bermuda, Michigan, Indiana, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri and California.
In addition, Seawood has also accompanied several renowned recording artists including: Wintley Phipps, Dr. Bobby Jones, “Little Richard”, Clifton Davis, Lamar Campbell, Rodnie Bryant, Cynthia Goodlow Palmer, Lorine “LoLo” Harris, Robert Turner & the Silver Heart Singers, Roland Gresham, Greg Oquinn & Joyful Noyze, Bud Dean & Total Praise, and George Powell.
Seawood is a product of Christian education, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He is also a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, where he earned the Master of Business Administration Degree. He resides in Duluth GA, with his wife Shirlean of 33 years and they have two adult daughters, Dr. Brianna Janae Seawood, PT, DPT and Dr. Brandi Janelle Seawood, DMD.
