Fine Arts Department Chair & Director of Choral Activities,
Pine Forge Academy

A native of Atlanta, GA, Jarrett Roseborough serves as the Fine Arts Department Chair and Director of Choral Activities at Pine Forge Academy. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education with a concentration in Vocal/Choral Music from Oakwood University and a Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting from Georgia State University. He has served 15+ years as a music educator, instructing grades K-12 and collegiate.
Jarrett Roseborough has also served in the following roles: Director of Choral Activities and Assistant Choral Director at Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, Assistant Minister of Music at the Decatur Seventh Day Adventist Church in Decatur, GA, Choral Grad Assistant at Georgia State University, Lead Pianist and Assistant Choir Director at Trinity AME Church in Atlanta, GA, Accompanist and Assistant Choral Director at Griffin High School in Griffin, GA, Music Teacher/Choral Director at Bethune Middle School in Decatur, GA, Student Music Coordinator for Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL, Music Education Intern for Huntsville City Schools and student conductor for the Oakwood University Aeolians.​​
His accomplishments in these roles are as follows: Executive Producer and Writer for the Oakwood University student album entitled “Back to the Body” (2009), Music Director for the 2015 and 2026 Spring Into Praise Music Conference, Regional and State Champion for Georgia Division Choral Competition in 2015, Executive Producer and Writer for the Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy Concert Choir Album “Songs of Victory” (2016), Executive Producer and Writer for the Pine Forge Academy Concert Choir Album “Beams of Heaven” (2019), Creator and Executive Producer of the Movie Musical and Soundtrack entitled “This is My Black” featuring the Pine Forge Academy Choir (successfully entered into 22 Film Festivals, winning 11 awards, and receiving a NAACP Image Award Nomination), voted best Youth Group and Best Overall Group in 2023 Lifting Voices in Praise Competition (Pine Forge Academy Choir), and winner of the 2023 Nationwide Jingle Contest (Pine Forge Academy Choir).
Jarrett’s desire as an educator in the arts is to create a platform where those gifted and invested can learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential. He endeavors to push students to go for the impossible and think outside of the box in pursuit of their goals in the arts, and also in life. His motto in teaching is “if the student has not learned, then I have not taught, If the student is not changed, then I have not brought my best to the table”.
